Marty wises us up RE the Coriolis effect

Our friend and sage of many domains Marty Hykin wrote as follows:
The Coriolis effect, which is said to be responsible for the clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation of falling liquids etc. is a real phenomenon on large scale events (i.e. weather systems), but is essentially insignificant at the scale of bathroom sinks or even of full-size bathtubs.   Any random disturbance of the smallest order can trigger rotation in either direction in either hemisphere.  So - rest easy.
Thanks, Marty!
